Hey everyone, welcome back to my hobbies and leisure blog. I just got back from my first paintball simulation match and it was so intense! We simulated the US army and some Opfor soldier fighting for control of a small Favela and had over 100 players competing! I have never been in anything this massive and I must say this was one of the best experience of my life.
For those who have no clue what I am talking about, paintball simulations are simulations of real military engagements with all paintball equipment. This means paintball guns that look like real rifles, handguns and machine guns and even grenades that spray paint everywhere. Some players even have knives that act as a paintbrush, which is slightly cheesy but still cool. I managed to but some paintball claymores before the match, and they saved us a couple times! Basically everything you use is similar to something that would be used in the military, but non lethal.
As for the actual simulation, I was on the USAF side and was assaulting the village. We had our group spread out, and with sniper support we attacked the village from two sides while having a third group do a delayed attack on the back, with both sides sweeping around the front after the delayed attack started. This allowed up push the enemy together and then ultimately encircle them. We won quickly after we had them surrounded, and it was amazing!
If you are already a fan of paintball, try out paintball simulation sometime. Finding a game near you is easy, and people are very friendly! Try it for yourself then let me know what you think in the comments below. Peace everyone!
